Preeti is a globally experienced investment and development banker with a 30-year track record associated with raising and managing institutional public and private development capital. Her role was built upon her experience as a pioneering global leadership fellow at the World Economic Forum, on the financing for development initiative, with the UN FFD Office. She served as CEO and president of FFD Financing for Development, a specialist development finance firm focused on financing the UN SDGs. She also managed the YES Global Institute, a practicing private sector think-tank for socio-economic development in New Delhi, building the impact investment ecosystem in India. Previously, she was an investment banker at HSBC, Rabobank, Lehman Brothers and JP Morgan.

Esther, a US national, joined UNCDF in her current role in 2016. Prior to joining, she was a US diplomat for 10 years, serving in China and the UK, as well as at the State Department Operations Center in Washington. As adviser at the permanent mission of the US to the UN in New York, she was on the US team that negotiated the 2030 agenda and the sustainable development goals. She also served on the executive boards of UNDP, UNICEF, UNOPS, and UNFPA, pushing the agencies to become more efficient, effective, and accountable for results. Prior to joining the US Foreign Service, she worked as a journalist in print, radio, and magazines.
Jeff Benjamin is a senior columnist who primarily writes about investments and practice management as they relate to the wealth management industry. Over the last two decades, Catherine has held senior roles in both management consulting and venture capital. Sarah Bratton Hughes is the Head of Sustainability, North America. Her responsibilities include leading the sustainability strategy and ESG integration in North America. She joined Schroders in 2011 and is based in New York. Previously, Sarah was an Investment Director at Schroders which involved supporting and representing the Schroders Sustainability Team as well as the Schroders US Small Cap and Schroders US Small & Mid Cap investment capabilities to clients and prospective clients. She was also responsible for ESG integration in North America. Sarah was an Associate Product Manager at Schroders, which involved supporting the US Equities teams and representing the Schroders US Small & Mid Cap and Schroders US Large Cap investment capabilities to clients and prospective clients. Prior to joining Schroders, Sarah was a Senior Analyst Investment Performance at JP Morgan Asset Management, which involved supporting investor and client inquiries relating to investment performance reviews. Sarah has her BA in Economics and her BSc in Business Management from St. Francis College.

Trysha Daskam is Director & Head of ESG Strategy at Silver, a regulatory compliance, ESG and Due Diligence advisory services firm for the investment management industry that is a minority/woman-owned business headquartered in New York City. Trysha is a seasoned sustainability practitioner and expert in policy writing and implementation of regulatory controls. She specializes in interpreting the impact of global regulation on a firm’s ESG efforts and regulatory compliance program.
Prior to joining Silver, Trysha was a Vice President at Duff & Phelps, where she served as a global point person addressing ESG issues for clients across various industry sectors. Earlier, at Universa Investments, Trysha was part of the business operations team and was involved in SEC exams.

Jon Hale focuses on ESG thought leadership and product strategy for Morningstar. Prior to 2021, Jon was Morningstar’s head of sustainable investing research. He directed the company’s research initiatives on sustainable investing, beginning with the launch of the Morningstar Sustainability Rating™ for funds in 2016.
In 2018, Hale was named to Barron’s list of the 20 most influential people in ESG investing, and in 2019, he was included in the InvestmentNews’ 10 leaders of ESG & Impact investing.
Before assuming this role in 2016, Hale was director of research, North America, for Morningstar, where he led approximately 60 manager research analysts based in North America and oversaw the team’s operations, thought leadership, and manager research coverage across asset classes.
Hale first joined Morningstar in 1995 as a mutual fund analyst and helped launch the institutional investment consulting business for Morningstar in 1998. He left the company in 1999 to work for Domini Social Investments, LLC before rejoining Morningstar as a senior investment consultant in 2001. He became managing consultant in 2009 and head of the Investment Advisory unit in 2014.
Hale holds a bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Oklahoma and a doctorate in political science from Indiana University.

Boris brings a unique mix of engineering skills and legal and regulatory experience to the team. Prior to joining Betterment, Boris practiced tax and capital markets law at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, and has a J.D. from Northwestern Law. Before that, Boris was a software engineer at Antenna Software, and has a B.A. in Computer Science from Harvard University.
Chris has over 36 years experience as investment advisor and entrepreneur. He began his career at Brown Brothers Harriman in New York, later co-founding and serving as CEO for Chilton Capital Management in Houston. Prior to joining Robertson Stephens as Managing Director/Principal, Chris founded and served as CEO for Collaboration Capital, an investment advisory practice predicated on ESG principles and the power of for-profit enterprise to solve for complex, growing problems.
A stalwart believer in the importance of active community engagement and civic leadership on the part of corporate citizens, Chris serves or has served as board member and/or in leadership capacity of The Honors College at the University of Houston, BridgeUp at Menninger, Hermann Park Conservancy, Houston Parks Board, Memorial Park Conservancy, The John Fairey Garden, and Workshop Houston.

Jean-Maurice Ladure is Executive Director and Head of Equity Applied Research, EMEA with responsibility for research to support new and existing indexes and risk models, including factor, ESG, climate change, thematic and economic exposure indexes, as well as performance and risk attribution. He also serves as an ambassador to asset owners and managers on the role of indexes and factor models in asset allocation and portfolio construction.
Prior to joining MSCI, he held a number of roles at Coutts, the private bank of RBS. As Global Head of Quantitative Solutions, he was instrumental in developing Coutts’ client proposition and was responsible for investment performance analysis and portfolio risk. Before that, he was Head of Investment Strategy in Europe, primarily responsible for making investment recommendations within managed portfolios. This was based on modelling the interactions between economics and financial assets, assessing equity market valuations and capturing investor sentiment effects on markets.
Prior to Coutts, he was an investment strategist at Barclays Wealth and also worked at BNP Paribas Asset Management, as an institutional portfolio manager and quantitative analyst.
Jean-Maurice holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Statistics from ENSAE in France and is a CFA charter holder and a French actuary.

He and Gabe have backgrounds in finance and hard data science, from econometrics to computational astrophysics.
